WF 205 - Fire Operations in the Urban Interface
Students will be able to perform an accurate size-up for interface incidents, including assessment of fuels, structures, topography, weather, and human factors.
Students will be able to select and deploy resources appropriate for structure triage, defensibility, and firefighter safety.
Students will be able to apply interface-specific strategies and tactics, including structure triage, defensible space assessment, and offensive/defensive protection methods.
Students will be able to develop and adapt an Incident Action Plan (IAP) that reflects operational objectives, evaluates effectiveness, and updates based on field conditions.
Students will be able to demonstrate strategies for firefighter safety, situational awareness, and interagency coordination during multi-jurisdictional WUI operations.
WF 280 - Fire Service Leadership
Students will be able to identify and apply leadership traits and principles in fire service contexts.
