MT 100 - Fabricating Composites

Students will be able to analyze project material requirements.

Students will be able to evaluate and repair a damaged composite item.

Students will be able to manufacture a composite structure.

MT 108 - Fluid Power (Pneumatics, Electro-pneumatics)

Students will be able to develop fluid power schematics that will be constructed and tested.

Students will be able to perform calculations related to Pascal’s law.

Students will be able to analyze and interpret fluid power systems to identify failing components.

Students will be able to identify and explain the purpose of various components of fluid power systems.

MT 109 - Small Engine Operation and Maintenance

Students will be able to perform basic repairs of a small gasoline engine.

Students will be able to practice basic diagnostic troubleshooting techniques of a small gasoline engine.

Students will be able to synthesize knowledge of operation of two-cycle and four-cycle engines for various applications.

MT 198 - Special Topics in Mechanical Technology

Students will be able to demonstrate specific knowledge, abilities and skills in Electrical and Mechanical Technology topics.

Students will be able to synthesize existing knowledge, abilities and skills with new practical skills on specific types of industrial equipment.

MT 290 - Internship in Mechanical Technology
