EPY 100 - Transition into College
Students will be able to identify three personal responsibility traits or strengths and how they apply to success in college.
Students will be able to use technology to access critical college resources.
EPY 101 - Educational, Career, and Personal Development
Students will be able to analyze, synthesize, and explain career exploration techniques, college success strategies, and communication theory acquired in the course.
Students will be able to identify, analyze and incorporate concepts of self-responsibility, self-motivation, self management, interdependence, self-awareness, attitude toward lifelong learning, emotional intelligence, and belief in themselves.
Students will be able to write a minimum of 25 guided journals to include analysis and application of communication theory and techniques and their impact on interpersonal interactions, self-talk, and classroom and business relations.
EPY 220A - Principles of Elementary Educational Psychology
Students will be able to identify developmental and learning characteristics of students in grades K-8 as they relate to: cognitive development, moral development, social & emotional development, identity development, and behavior & classroom management.
Students will be able to apply various learning theories to the K-8 educational environment.
