CH 201 - Ancient and Medieval Cultures

Students will be able to identify and explain the achievements and contributions of political figures, philosophers, religious leaders, and artists significant in establishing the foundations of world culture.

Students will be able to identify and explain the relationships between society's values and the aesthetic expression of those values.

CH 202 - The Modern World

Students will be able to contextualize the development and manifestations of a major theme, concept, or issue through the cultural products, social configurations, political ideologies, and religious beliefs characteristic of western culture.

Students will be able to identify and explain the achievements and contributions of political figures, philosophers, religious leaders, and artists significant in establishing the foundations of western culture.

Students will be able to identify and explain the relationship between a society's values and the aesthetic, social and political expression of those values.

CH 203 - American Experiences and Constitutional Change

Students will be able to identify and describe the contributions of political figures, philosophers, artists, business leaders, and military leaders significant in shaping the development of American cultural values, political values, and social values.

Students will be able to recognize and explain the key provisions and mandates in the U.S. and Nevada constitutions.

Students will be able to recognize and summarize the development or manifestations of a major theme, concept, or issue through the cultural products, social configurations, political ideologies, and religious beliefs characteristic of American culture from precontact to the present day.
